Nighty night!

Sacking out on the track at this local high school. Track surface isn't exactly soft, but it's drier than the grass and softer than the parking lot. Alarm is set for 90 minutes from now -- this hour and a half of shuteye is gonna be awesome. Then I chug a Rockstar energy drink and we leap back into action.
Good night Van 1! Hope you have sweet dreams of lightning fast splits and endless downhills.

Break time

Much quicker times for leg 2 for van 1 this time around. Everyone pretty much hit their goals -- the cool weather helped. Now time for some rest... If only Meredith wasn't using my droid hoodie to cover her feet! Moody leads the next charge at 3am. Maybe I'll have my hoodie back by then. That finish line beer tent can't get here quickly enough.

Van 1 Glowstick Rave Party!

Justin really got creative with glow bracelets and tape and turned our van into a badass late night disco! We're cranking the Party Ben mashups and getting wild and crazy up in here. Manderson is currently out there tearing up the asphalt and the we hand off to Van 2 and zip ahead to T24 to try to catch a few quick Z's before we're up again. Also, we have some delicious Fruit Roll-Ups in here. Monzy out.

Taking in the beauty before transitioning to van 1
PS welcome back Mikey :)

Tigers and turtles and crabs, oh my!

Lots of good van themes this year. For a while we kept running into a team of women sponsored by a chiropractor named Dr. Crabbe; kind of an unfortunate name, but they had embraced it, wearing giant crab claw hats and acronym shirts that said Chicks Running At Breathtaking Blazing Earth-shattering speeds. I caught up to one of them on leg 4 and told her I normally wouldn't go out of my way to catch the crabs. Shortly afterwards their van (decorated with a massive inflatable crab on top) blew past me and the Crabbes shouted some friendly catcalls at me out the windows. Now we're about to start our next set of legs... wonder what colorful characters we'll run into this time.

Shhhhh!!! Runners sleeping...

After an early missed turn, higher than expected heat and some pretty killer hills Van 1 has completed the first six legs (about 36 miles). Just a bit off pace but overall we are crushing it. The highlight: Monzy rocking 8.4 hot hilly miles... Ahead of projection! Time for some rest and an early dinner while Van 2 pounds the pavement. Back on track around 8pm. Good luck van 2!

All we're missing is a self-driving van

Androids with jet packs? Pimped-out Chrome rims? Yeah, you know that's how we roll, and today we're feeling lucky. Time to Google Play.

Hot stencil action!

Van decoration is underway here at the Wachusett Mountain Ski Resort. How will we pimp the G-Van this year? It may involve 300 glow bracelets and "Chrome" rims... stay tuned!
